Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape comfortably snug, read the length, repeat for good measure and use the largest measurement. A piece of string will work too, then just hold it up to a ruler and measure.

Too small and had to return but still high quality.
"Had to return it, but that does not mean it doesn’t deserve good marks. It was high-quality just way too small for my head, even though a lot of the other size smalls fit perfectly. The sizing is quite strange and I suggest buying a hat stretcher if you are going to buy more than one hat. It makes them fit perfectly."
