How to Measure Caps
Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape comfortably snug, read the length, repeat for good measure and use the largest measurement. A piece of string will work too, then just hold it up to a ruler and measure.

"Make sure to measure your head exactly and go by that, not just the small, medium, large. Fits good if you really pay attention to the sizing. I can only buy the 6 panels due to my head size is 22. 5. 6 panel hats I buy size small, if really want d a 8 panel I might go with a M/L. Material seems to comfy in the head and feel pretty durable."
