Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape comfortably snug, read the length, repeat for good measure and use the largest measurement. A piece of string will work too, then just hold it up to a ruler and measure.

"I have 2 Boston Scallys and love them! They are both size small. I originally ordered the Repel in a small. It arrived and was tiny. I exchanged it for the next size up. It is also too small and the fit is a little different. It sits high on the head. I am not sure why the sizes are off."

"I love this cap. It's light weight and a great fit. I first ordered M/L which was a bit snug. I exchanged it for an XL which fits perfect. The return process was painless. My new cap was on its way 7 hours after I returned the M/L to USPS as BS get confirmation immediately after return. Note: These caps fit different depending on the material so follow the size chart. I would normally take an M/L but since this cap is all nylon it runs a bit smaller than their other caps."
