Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape comfortably snug, read the length, repeat for good measure and use the largest measurement. A piece of string will work too, then just hold it up to a ruler and measure.

"Took my husband a few attempts to get the right size. He thought the M/L was too tight, exchanged it for an XL (his hat size is 7 5/8) but that was way too big. Exchange again for the M/L he steamed it and put it on a stretcher. Perfect! The hat is incredibly well constructed and gorgeous! We will be ordering more for sure!
