Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape comfortably snug, read the length, repeat for good measure and use the largest measurement. A piece of string will work too, then just hold it up to a ruler and measure.

"Great hat! Unfortunately a few of the single panel caps BSC makes fit my head a little tight. Sadly, this is one of those. I know from experience that if i go up a size itll be too big. Its soooo close to perfect. I think a hat stretcher will do the trick. Its weird. Every single patchwork I wear fits perfectly. For some reason the 3 or 4 single panels i own that are not patchwork, all fit small and when I go up in size, they are way too big. Anyway, love the alligator in back. I do think the hat would be great after i wear it awhile and stretch it. I’m just right at the very end of the large size. Recommend these hats!"
