Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape comfortably snug, read the length, repeat for good measure and use the largest measurement. A piece of string will work too, then just hold it up to a ruler and measure.

"Can’t get indents from brim in cloth to fully steam out so I’m unable to get the smooth look I want from this hat. I think that’s what upsets me most is these hats are all shipped with zero regard for the fabrics. I shouldn’t have to steam every hat to make it look like a brand new hat."
