Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape comfortably snug, read the length, repeat for good measure and use the largest measurement. A piece of string will work too, then just hold it up to a ruler and measure.

"So I’ve tried these type of hats before a couple years back before I had gray hair lol, thought I look goofy with them on now that I’ve gotten older and I wear different clothing now not shirts with words and graphics on them. You know more mature, looking clothes these hats accommodate my style 100%. They are made with amazing quality and I have no idea why anybody is giving Boston Scally anything below four stars, find me a better peaky cap from a different company that’s better and I’ll give you $100 lol!!! I have got my collection up to 21 and I plan to keep getting more matter of fact I have the King of hearts patchwork coming right now and when that plaid trainer iron gray comes back out I’m jumping all over that!!! Great warm weather cap

"I an Iron Gray Plaid 8-Panel Trainer in XXL as my XL Bootstrap was JUST big enought to fit, but the Trainer was a bit large (too much crown material). I was able to shrink it to fit perfectly after some online research on how shrink poly/rayon blends with hot water & hot air. Worked a charm & it now has a great relaxed fit."

Great cap, odd sizing

"My first BS is an XL Bootstrap that was a bit small, but I was able to stretch it to fit better. I ordered both a Halloween Rose & an Iron Gray Plaid 8-Panel Trainer in XXL, but both were a bit large (too much crown material). I was able to shrink both to fit perfectly after watching a video I found explaining how to do it with hot water & hot air. Worked a charm. The 8-Panel Trainer is a great hot weather cap."

"I dont know what the deal is. I have ordered a few hats from these guys and a xxl fits perfect. But this one is way too big. So i reordered a xl. Hopefully its not too small. I dont know, maybe they got a bad batch. I really like their caps and hate to give them two stars. But what a hassle"

"Discreet yet classy. Love the 8 panel style. . . Looks a little more "top shelf", if you will. Can dress it up or down and looks to be very well made. Was surprised I was an XL, but measured my melon. . . That is what it said. Fits well. . . Was planning on just ordering a large, thought better of it, measured my head and glad I ordered the XL!"

"Its ok. Quality it there but. the shape is a bit off for a scally. the crown is way too pointy, not an nice smooth rounded shape. I have been reluctant to wear it and retuning it seems a hassle. Have to admit I’m disappointed."
