Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape comfortably snug, read the length, repeat for good measure and use the largest measurement. A piece of string will work too, then just hold it up to a ruler and measure.

"I own two other BSCs — both six-panel caps. I’ve always liked the idea of a cap, but my head is small and kind of flat in the back; I could never find a cap that fit me well. Even adjustable baseball caps necessitated using the tightest adjustment, and then they still had way too much material and puckered in the back. Discovering Boston Scally has been a delight. The XS size fits perfectly — so far every time. I took a chance on an 8-panel, thinking it might be a bit “too much” for my pea-head, but it, too fits perfectly. The seams are straight on this cap (as on both the others, as well) and stitching is even. The material is a nice, nappy cotton, yet lightweight. Both colors are not as vivid as in the pictures, but that’s ok. I like the more muted colors. The blue is more of a heather, and the purple is more burgundy than purple. But dayumn!! What a cap! Shipping was quite fast; it arrived two days ahead of “schedule” and that included a national holiday. Boston Scally has hit yet another home run, so far as I’m concerned. I now have several stylish caps to wear that really fit well, that are extremely comfortable, and are well made."
