Wrap a cloth measuring tape around your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Pull the tape comfortably snug, read the length, repeat for good measure and use the largest measurement. A piece of string will work too, then just hold it up to a ruler and measure.

"Great hat only reason I dont give this one 5 stars is the fit was way off. I didn't bother sending it back but it was wildly different then my others. I also wear fitted sports hats and they too are hit or miss on sizing so not a tremendously big deal but the size difference was large enough that my review reflects that. The build quality is still very good. 3. 5 stars is my rating but that wasn't an option"

I see more in my collection in the future however, the only downside I see to it is that it is very insulated which is great but in a hotter days or warmer days this hat may be a bit warm.
